Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services maintain normal logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for reliability and basic usage patterns. Cookies or related tools may be used for analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use the limited information to run the service, diagnose technical issues, understand traffic totals, and improve reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each destination has its own privacy practices, which govern information submitted there. That includes sponsored results delivered by a separate provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Companies that host or support the service may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because this site has no user accounts, it does not hold a password or account profile for visitors.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of personal data held by a website. New Jersey's Data Privacy Act, P.L.2023, c.266, codified at C.56:8-166.4 et seq., sets rights for covered commercial processing. Since we retain very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page for a request. Public records held by New Jersey, Bergen County, or Fort Lee custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the relevant custodian.
